In August, thanks to this Youtube video we all thought DJ Jazzy Jeff had a beta version of Ableton Live 10. But many pointed out that Jeff’s Live 10 was actually only a custom skin. So here we are now at the end of October investigating on the next Ableton Live version.
Ableton Live 10 Marketing material leaks
Two days ago Robert Baker, producer at “We’re Not Friends”, posted two photos on his Facebook page feed that showed some posters and other marketing materials. The content of that sale stuff was, quoted: “Save 20% on the price of Ableton Live 9- Get a free upgrade to Live 10”.
Check the photos by yourself.
In the first photo, you can see the big promotional poster positioned in front of a laptop with Ableton’s Live opened. We think that’s just the current version but the posters make it pretty clear that if that’s official promotional prints then for sure we are going to see Ableton Live 10 released in the forthcoming months.
Ableton Live 9 was released more than 4 years ago, that’s a lot of time. This pushes, even more, the possibility of a new Ableton release very soon. The second picture pushes this, even more, showing a trade show-style badge suggesting that perhaps Ableton will announce Live 10 at the upcoming Ableton Loop conference in Berlin this November.
It can also be the case of fake news set by an angry Ableton user who’s raging and awaiting Live 10 himself. That’s to say we still can’t be sure about these leaks but we definitely hope to see Ableton announcing Live 10 in November.
