Free Ableton Plugins – Atom by Sinevibes
This is one of the most impressive free Vst plugins for Ableton that you can find. Atom features five different resonant filter types, offering three different cutoff slopes per filter (ranging from 12 dB/octave to 48 db/octave). What makes Atom stand out from the filter effect crowd though are the extensive modulation options, powered by two independent modulation generators with multiple waveform types per modulator. The modulators can sync to the host application at rates ranging from from 1/128 note to 16 bars. The waveform curves can be smoothed out by using the lag parameter, ensuring a smooth performance even at high modulation rates. Finally, the chaos parameter randomizes the amplitude of the modulation generator, which is a pretty nifty feature to have if you want to just modulate the living hell out of your audio signal’s linearity.
